Revell Control – new segments added to the range
It has taken just two years for the Revell Control brand to assert itself firmly on the market. With sales boasting above-average growth rates the RC range has exceeded all expectations and developed into a strong pillar supporting the Revell house of brands. In view of this positive development it's hardly surprising that those responsible at Revell intend pursuing the adopted course also in the new year. Expounding on the company's strategy the Marketing Manager, Andreas Bittlinger, explains: "With the new Boats segment and additional products in the existing Helicopter, Aircraft and Car segments we are making targeted efforts to extend our presence in the RC market. As such we now offer a broad and complete range of infra-red, MHz and GHz models and are thus able to satisfy the requirements of every RC enthusiast – from the absolute beginner to the semi-pro."
The helicopter line will be significantly extended. The offering of new items ranges from the supermicro helicopter in a cool design to the high-quality single-rotor helicopter. The supermicro helicopters are easily mastered and particularly agile in the air. Thanks to the electronic gyroscopic system they offer extremely good flight characteristics. Despite its size the Cardinal MHz Helicopter is just as easy to handle. With regard to this XL format helicopter, a striking design has been combined with a sturdy aluminium fuselage. Another newcomer to the MHz scene is the Aquila Pro. What's special about this helicopter are the fantastic lighting effects as a result of the colourful LEDs in the cockpit and on the tail boom. The Toucan featuring GHz technology is a high-calibre single-rotor helicopter with aluminium rotor head and an electronic gyroscopic system. It is operated via a digital 4-channel GHz controller with display in which each of the channels is invertible.
Embarking on their maiden flights as early as the spring will also be the easy-to-handle MHz aircraft. The three models have been designed especially with the novice in mind. The robust motor glider, the Ventus 640, features an auxiliary engine and char-strengthened wings. The glider comes with a special display stand. On account of its "good-natured" flight characteristics, the Rookie proves ideal for newbies. The Air Hopper, an aircraft with 27 MHz controls just like the Ventus motor glider, completes the segment.
Entirely new to the range are boats. The highlight of the new segment is the Silvestris Speedboat, a licensed reproduction of the original and exclusive to the Revell Control range. Powered by the factory-fitted 480-size electric motor with water cooling, this sport boat can reach speeds of up to 25 km/h. A Baracuda Catamaran and two sailing yachts, differing in terms of their size and controls, round off the new boats segment. The largest sailing yacht measures an impressive 60 cm and is equipped with a digital proportional 2-channel GHz control system including servos.
There's also plenty of movement in the car segment. In addition to numerous new off-road products also the first street car in original Audi R8 design will be joining the
starting line-up. The elegantly styled Audi features fully pre-fitted control electronics
and a likewise preset vehicle setup. The extensive standard features include a 4-wheel drive, four pressure shock absorbers as well as concealed bumpers.
All the RC models are ready to use, in other words, you simply need to insert or charge the batteries. Then fun can commence!
A professional RC service package for the trade rounds off Revell's extensive RC range. This is how end users can be sure of receiving quick, expert help whenever extra support is needed.
