When Majorette Lancer WRC meet Hotwheels Evolution WRC

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, My Diecast Life, Syndicated Blogs

Hmm... this time I try to put this 2 difference mother born (manufacture) Mitsubishi Lancer WRC brother(1 might be Lancer & another might be EVO).
Both are difference manufacture, difference version of Mitsubishi WRC or difference age of WRC.
I had done some touch up color on the Hotwheels Mitsubishi Lancer WRC(Loon Edition..lol) to make it more "Ohm~~".

I still have one more Tomica Limited Mitsubishi Lancer EVO WRC ready to add in this comparison later.

Which one is your favor?

I like Hotwheels Ferrari F430 Challenge, due to it have individual/stand-alone headlamp ~ big difference with other Hotwheels diecast as all head lamp are direct molded.

This model can be found at old Ferrari series ~ Ferrari F430 Challenge too... some difference only but price difference double.
I will show both difference next round.

BMW 750LI 1/18 - Kyosho

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, Little Hobby Center, Syndicated Blogs

If you can't afford to own a real BMW 7 series, you might want to consider getting yourself a Kyosho version. It is almost an exact replica of the real one, and the best part is you're paying less than 1% of the price of the real car.

Enjoy the pics :D

Optimus Prime & Bumblebee - Mighty Muggs

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, Little Hobby Center, Syndicated Blogs

Ever heard of Mighty Muggs? It's a collectible with simple shape but nice artworks. There are a lot of design available now, such as GI Joe, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Marvels, etc. And these two are my first Mighty Muggs.

Many years has passed and the number of Malaysian Hot Wheels collectors has increased, which should be a good news - the more the merrier. But things are not that merry given the current market status of Hot Wheels here.Price increases every year, and many old timers are quitting due to nostalgic reason, they missed the old price. We're treated more like a child rather than a serious collector. We adults like rubber wheels, but we can hardly get any of that series here, for example the Larry's Garage.
But hey, Mattel is a big company, they must have their reasons of doing so. They brought in Ferrari Racer, which at some points are selling well, but most of the time left hanging there. They've brought in CARS, but not selling like hot cakes. Speed racer? That's not worth to be mentioned. And recently we have the Speed Machine, and yes, this is really nice and selling well here :) So Mattel, why speed machine could sell well, but the others failed? Lets first look at the price.

Ferrari Racer - RM9.90-RM14.90
CARS - RM Not-worth-buying
Speed Machine - RM WTF
Speed Machine - RM14.90
Ferrari 1/43 - RM40

Does price really affect the market? At certain point, it will. But it depends on what you are buying. Malaysians are smart shopper, they know what they should be paying for. We won't pay a chicken for a price of a cow.

What if the rubber series we're brought in here? How will the price be? Given the fact that our cars here are much more expensive compared to oversea, ironically, so lets assume:

Ultra Hots - RM34.90
Larry's - RM29.90
Phil's - RM29.90
Classic(non-rubber) - RM 19.90
G-machine - RM34.90

IF Mattel are going to sell them here, my guess is the price should look like the one above. Will it sell like hot cakes? I guess not.
So what can Mattel do if they want to sell it here(day-dreaming)? Easy, Mattel has the brand power compared to other diecast company, for some reasons we like Hot Wheels more than Maisto or Jada, so if Maisto is selling real-riders for RM19.90-RM29.90, and Jada selling for RM24.90 - RM29.90, the price range of Hot Wheels should be around that range.

That's all from me, thanks for reading!

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, Zeff's Hobby, Syndicated Blogs

Finally I completed my SD Strike Gashapon collection for all 3 forms !!! It really has great playability as the accesories of different form can be removed and reassembled. However, I still need to get one more Strike Gundam blank body so that all 3 forms can be displayd together. Currently, I only display sword form and launcher form in my cabinet.

Aile Strike

Sword Strike

This Sword form amor only come with the Skygrasper. :) Sword can be "stored" on the backpack.

Launcher Strike

It's amazingly detailed !!! Glad that I am able to get this dude from a toy collector recently.

~ My first 2010 Haul

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, Zeff's Hobby, Syndicated Blogs

Hi, guys happy 2010. Sorry for the late wish. Yesterday I went to Mid Valley to collect my Kamen Rider stuff and sudden get myself some die-cast cars and transformers. I decided to pick up the 20 die cast cars set as Toys "R" Us offers a very good deal for it's members. Guess what it only cost me RM49.90 for 20 cars (Average RM2.50 each) !!! Regular price is RM89.90. Awesome !!! Toy "R" Us also sells these cars in individual pack but at RM5.50 each. What's more ?!! There are few cars that are impossible for you to get them from those individual pack like Lamborghini, Pagani Zonda and some 4WD truck. Oh well, certain cars' quality or finishing are not good including bad paint job and rough metal edges. However, it's still a nice buy :)

I didn't realise that Smart already release new version of Smart for 2 until I saw this car released by Maisto :) It has great detail !!! Others are Legend class Rodimus and Hound. I bought the Hound in Loose which is ain't cheap at RM15 and was the last piece from a toyshop as I couldn't find it anymore in the retail. Slightly regret as I didn't grabbed it from Tesco last time. Anyway, its a good figure. :)

~ Hotwheels new price tag : RM6.90 !!!

Categories // Diecast Vehicles, Zeff's Hobby, Syndicated Blogs

Well-well, I wondering is 2010 a good year ??? Yesterday, I went to Parkson to buy some paint brush. Since I was already in the shopping mall, I just let myself have a glimpse on the Hot wheels. Then, I saw this regular Thunt Classic Packard. I missed this Thunt from past 7e promotion and restock of Tesco. I believe many collectors already feel frighten (in vomit-blood mode) seeing this Thunt. :p It's still a nice Thunt as it has metal body and metal base. Anyway, the highlight of this post is not about Thunt but the RM6.90 price tag !!! =( Every year the price is increasing non-stop. Sigh !!! I really need to limit myself in buying HW as I failed to concentrate on specific toy collections.

McDonald (Malaysia) now is offering new toys for kids and collectors beginning 28th January until 24th February. The toys are from Transformers Animated series and Littlest Petshop. The Transformers characters offered in this Happy Meal promotion are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet and Megatron. Optimus Prime and Ratchet mold look good to me. I heard that the toy alone cost RM3 each if you don't want to get the Happy meal set. Tomorrow, I gonna head down to the nearest McD to have my lunch :D
