This will be interesting to see how fast this one is guessed. I will show 3 pictures and you tell me what toy maker and what country it is from. It is a generic truck with some very familiar advertisements on it. Good shape too.

Good Luck

Is that a GMC?

It has been value at between $250.00 and $400.00 US funds and can reach up to $800.00 in best condition. Those are the only clues I will give you other that it is quite large, maybe 1:16 or 1:18 scale and is about 2 feet or so long. Gives you an idea of scale.

Click the pictures and go to Photobucket and see more. No ID though. LOL

Good luck Jim N

Just saw this, most be a Tonka alike, something we Europeans probably have to pass on...

Similar in manufacture to a Tonka but not a Tonka, in fact I beleive this toy was made before Tonka came out, but not sure.

Platinum Boarder
No, I am sorry. This is a lesser known manufacturer.

No!  N
Nobody has tried guessing a country to narrow it down some. Last clue.

Canada?

I do believe that it is indeed Canadian (hence the bi-lingual French-on-one-side-English-on-the-other deco) and it is a Heinz Ketchup Transport Truck, part of the Minnitoys Truck Series made in the late 40\'s-early 50\'s by Otaco in Ontario.

Yes, ModelCarFreak, is Canadian.
We have a winner***Baskingshark*** you are indeed correct on all counts. Very Well Done!
Jim
I pass the contest to your hands now. Take your time and make it good. This took a few months but when hit on again recently was quickly solved.
Again Congradulations, Baskingshark

Many thanks - this was NOT an easy one! I\'d never heard of these before, and it took some judicious googlesearching before I found out about them!

Here is a link to the Truck on the Minnitoys web site. From here you can look at all the vehciles he has. Quite the collection of toys he owns. This is a good site for Canadian built toys of the \'40s and \'50s
