Not American as it is right hand drive and by the wooden spoke like wheels it could be early 1920 or just before. The split windscreen makes me lean heavily towards a Rolls Royce although Matchbox of Yesterday do not have this model depicted in the guessing game. So for the length size which is indicated by the B pillar panel gap between the side doors I suggest it may be from European design. So my guess is that this model may be a representation of one of Italy's cars made by Matteo Ceirano's which is the 1922 SPA  . These cars were built by Societa Ligure Piemontese Autombili Italy. Later this firm was taken over by Fiat.

So after that lengthy rationale I am suggesting it is a 1920's SPA. Although I wouldn't have a clue as yet so say which toy company reproduced the SPA. That is if it is the SPA?

I'm guessing its a Isotta Frascini...

on second thoughts a Phantom based 1927 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

It looks a lot like my Franklin Mint model, only smaller and simpler.

You both were right saying "Rolls-Royce".

Here you can see the size, compared to a "code 3" Dinky.

It was also available with erected hood and even in a rare gifset.

Chassis number is 17KG

An accurate model, isn't it ? Not so many vintage model cars were reproducing identified chassis

I guess so, but my ancient Rio is also an excellent example of what you can achieve with 1/43

In my 1973 Rolls Royce Owners Club Directory and Register the KG refers to 1922/23 but the only KG listed are Springfield Models

Since this looks to be a Barker barrel body and RHD, the only English chassis numbers are G, ZG and HG for 1922/23

It's an Alpine Eagle occurrence.

If you find to whom it belonged, you perhaps will find the brand's name.
