Yes, treaded is the word.

And I would say car transporter #984 for the new guess.

Interesting information. Did you know there are actually two 22c trucks made by Dinky Toys. The first was from 1933 to 1935 Picture courtesy of Jacques DuJardins Dinky Toys Encyclopedia.


The second issue, which you show, is from either May 1935 til 1941 and the second issue of your truck is from 1946 to 1950. It is a mix of a Bedford and a Dodge truck First issue had plated Tootsietoys hubs on thin axles. They then came with black or blue hubs also on thin axles. Later they went to thick axles. There were also rear windows in the early model which was filled in on later issues with ridged hubs.

The answer to your guess is No, not the 984 Car Transporter.
