See, hardly any model kits at all.
Let alone some to speak of.

Story of my life.

Do you know the name James Bush, aka Hippie or Hippie Freak?
Modeler extraordinaire. He was a member here and a few other model sites. He passed in 2010 though. He did some for me.

No, never heard of him. Well, I've decided to get rid of most of the kits this year. I'm not going to build them for the rest of my life and to hold them hostage in my dungeon, thus depriving a lot of people of enjoying them is just not fair. I also could do with the space this would free up.

That is a fantastic array of kits you have there Iwearabowler...

Once did a Tamiya Bmw z3 in blue, not sure if what happened to that was nice but the wheel broke a few times.

In more recent times wrc martini ford focus i still have, can't be much bigger than 1:43 scale, the z3 was 1:24th.

And then there's the J.C.B backhoe loader on my mini railway setup and plastic buildings for that in the false roof when i get round to making a scene.

Of all the kids I built as a kid and then with my own kids about 20 plus years ago here are the three I still have.
The first is a 1930 Ford Woody I built for a contest Hippie ran here on our forum before he passed.

Then there is the one my son started and never finished. 1955 Chevy Pickup. It was done in the colors as on the box lid.

Last but not least is the 1955 Chevy Convertible that was started by my Daughter. Both of the Chevy's were finished off my Hippie

Staying on the topic of model kits, here are three I did for my Father before he passed away. I believe 2 were purchased in England and one in Canada.
Vickers Armstrong Wellington B.III

Handley Page Halifax B.III

Handley Page Halifax B.III-Kit Kit #2

My Father's plane was a MK VII model. These are all earlier planes as the MKVII was not built until maybe 1944?

According to my Father, the last plane above was closest to what he flew His was not camouflaged though. I also did Land Rover and trailer for him that was in Camo. It is a Dinky, of course.

Here are actual photos of the plane my Dad was Navigator on. Handley-Page Halifax MK VII. Had more powerful engines than the previous models and carried more and heavier bombs from what I remember my Dad telling me. Which was not much. First picture is the complete 432 Squadron in Eastmoor, England in the Spring of 1945 It is hard to see him but on the left, second row, standing fifth from the left. The second picture is one of the Squadron's MK VII Halifax. This is Canadian Air Force fighting with the British Air force from Eastmoor to Germany. 15 Missions his flight crew flew and never even a scratch. There was that much fighter cover etc from the Spring to the fall when the war ended.

I would like to see what rolls-royce and bentley kits you may have in that collection missing from my own collection.
