The second toy I will show you is one I got last February for about $13.50 Cnd to the door. Really good price. Someone has painted over it with black and looks like there was a spare tire glued to the trunk lid at one time.

Next is a trip out to the garage for the bead blaster. I swapped out the coarser GreenGrit my original 50-80 grade glass beads. The GreenGrit is 20-30 grade, much coarser.

Going to be another 2 tone paint job. Dinky only did 4 two tones on this car. This will be my third but the paint screwed up yesterday so I will strip and repaint again today. Snowing again today so good day for painting.

There are two such cars in the line up by Dinky. One is red and light blue tho other is a different brighter red and a darker light blue. Both were in general production from 1957 to 1959

I did paint the car but it turned out so bad I stripped it again.

I should not hurry when I do toys. I make mistakes that way like not letting the paint dry enough before stripping. Also I used too much paint to begin with. Came off in large strips, jagged at the edges. Here is where I got to before spraying the red I have in a spray bomb can.

I have stripped it again along with the 190 Caravan I am also working on.

Bead blasted too.

A few rough spots to take care of and then primer.

Second time with the light blue paint.

It has been masked off and has three thin coats of the red paint I am using but with about half an hour or more between coats. I hope to unmask it tomorrow sometime. Not doing it until it is good and dry.
