TOPIC: Can this bus post be saved?

Nice and simple masking I see. Looking good so far. At least you will be able to save this bus and add it into your collection. I am curious to see the second color though.

I don't think Corgi did a two tone Mercedes bus so this should be interesting.

Well I unmasked it to paint it an orange-yellow, similar to as I received it (it's the 1976 version if I'm reading the above chart correctly).

But then I decided to remask it and paint it in a contrasting color.

Here it is unmasked. It will need some minor touch-ups.

Am I done? Not by a long shot...

Looking forward to seeing the finished results, dark vs light I like it.

the color combo looks good. A few touch-up spots and the bus will look pristine!.
I have removed the double post

Well I sort of rushed the completion as I'm going away on holiday/vacation for a few days. The wheels are old Hot Wheels and are temporary; the decals are flea market finds and need to have some setting solution applied. The result looks like a shuttle bus for passengers or aircrew/groundcrew.

Anyway I saved this one from the scrap heap.

Good save and the wheels don't look all that bad, really. This could also be a shuttle bus for VIP's or Passengers who are on the far side of the airport from the terminal like Frankfurt, Germany has. Was about a 10 minute drive to our flight to Basel Switzerland. That was 2016 and I am sure it is longer now.
