The Van came both ways as did the Taxi. I believe the open windows are the older versions. Let me check

This model is based on a1935 Morris Commercial 15 cwt. van.

1938 • Pre war : smooth black hubs,thin axles, white tyres, open rear windows, black roof, running boards and rear wings.
1946 • Early post war : black ridged hubs and tyres, thick axles, open rear windows, black roof, running boards and rear wings.
• Black ridged hubs, black tyres, thick axles, closed rear windows, red roof.
• Red ridged hubs, black tyres, thick axles, closed rear windows, black roof.
1947 • Red ridged hubs, black tyres, thick axles, closed rear windows, red roof.

Only 1938 issued had the open rear windows.

my mistake is that your model is obviously not based on the earlier casting no doubt.

As far as I know it is based on the earliest version of this Taxi. It has the open window in the rear and that was only in 1938

The black handpainted panels are very good. No need to change them.

I just have to cover the bit of black over paint at the left rear Fender. Then I will be happy with these, for what they are at least.
