Mods, please delete previous post. It seems we can no longer upload pics directly.

Ed, for the last few months we have been having problems on the site. Admin techs are working on the problems. The picture uploader is not working so we have to use a third party uploader for that task. Some of us are using postimages.org/
Click Choose Image and go to your computer and pick the picture you want
Once you choose a picture it will load into their system and generate code for you to choose.
Third from the bottom is Hot Link for Forums. Pick that by clicking on the blue icon on the far right of that line.
Paste that into your text message box by using Ctrl+V and then post your message. It looks like this afterwards.

As to the HTML coding that is showing up, that is another glitch of problem with the site they are working with. This is an old and not very good platform we are on and they are not that familiar with it. They are trying to get it all resolved.
If you use the Quick Reply button and DO NOT edit it after posting, your text will appear as my does here. All the other methods put the HTML code in. Using Reply Topic won't even let you post a picture anymore. so use Quick Reply and do a new post if you want to edit or put up with the HTML code

Thanks Jim, I'll give that a try later today - some errands to run now. Thanks again.

<p>The driver figure in primer.</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>Rather than painting him back in pale blue or yellow, I decided to paint him to more closely resemble someone who would've driven the car in period. Here are two photos I used to guide my painting.</p>
<p>

<p>
</p>
<p>And here is my painted figure. I will refer to him herein as "Tiny Fangio."</p>

Fangio looks great and ready to drive for you. That is some detailing on the face. Nice going.

I See the 731 on on the bench, what is it having done to it?

Nice face detailing also, I have just bought some paint for use on face.

I use Testors Flesh color. Bit pinkish but better than anything else I have found.

<p>That 731 is the best of the ones I have remaining. It's going to get its chipped red paint touched up, a new flag and grille and new tires. Not so much a restoration as a preservation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I used Tamiya Flat Flesh on Tiny Fangio's face and arms.</p>

<p>Here's an updated photo. Body in Tamiya Gloss Aluminum, seat (not entire cockpit) in Testors Insignia Red, which is a bit less bright than what is typical. Hit with a gloss clear coat in preparation for decals.
