TOPIC: The KLF ice cream van

The KLF ice cream van 4 years, 11 months ago #1

Moderator
I sell some Matchbox cars in my webshop and someone bought this.

Then he asked me: do you know someone who can transform it into this van?

I really had to think hard, who could do that.................?

ME ofcourse, so I showed him some of my work and now it is on my bench.

But who or what is KLF? Never heard of them/it. It turns out to be a pop group from the 1990s. Watch this video with trains and toy cars in it. So that jusitifies this topic

So, projected finished. There was one hard part: how to obtain the decals? I asked around and Chaccamacca stepped in. He made me the decals.

Now I owe you a Corgi Chacca! (am working on that)

Here is the result And the customer is very happy. It is the only KLF Matchbox in the world!!!

Hi Theo

another nice model from the hands of a master.                                                                                                                   Another group  that Drummond and Cauty (KLF) made a record under was this one

i hope your customer does not know about it or you may be making another repaint?

Cheers Luff,
It was a fun project and it worked out well.
The American police car looks familiar, but I can't determin which one it is. Do you know?

I think that it is a 1970s Ford Galaxie

Great work, as usual, Theo. Another brand of Ice Cream truck I have not see before, either in real life or as a toy. Nice and unique as you say.

Jim,

just to make sure: KLF is not a brand of icecream, it is a popgroup from the 1990's and onwards.

They had this icecream van as an albumcover
