Hiya Lads n lasses

I have recently aquired a Dinky 411 Bedford truck. Can somebody tell me if the back lifts on this model. If so the lifting mechanism is knackered \"lol\".

Anybody got any pics of the mechanism ? so that i can maybe fabricate one.

Cheers.

Hi Kev,

Might want to bookmark this page.

The Dinky Bedford Truck. renumbered from No25W in 1954 and continued in production until 1960. It was available in green finish. Released in 1954 withdrawn in 1960.

Cheers Richard

Very interesting.

Judging by all the pics i have looked at,it was fixed and not lifting.I havent seen one yet that has the back elevated.Yet there is a slot that it seems some sort of handle came through.

Ive found the answer to this one.So for anybody else that needs to know.

The 411 is a fixed bed the 410 is the end tipper but exactly same truck.

Cheers

my Bedford Pullmore cab also appears to have similar casting to it. There\'s bound to be a model out there with the Meccano swing action.

I would have thought so.Aparantly the castings are exactly the same.It is the same unit as the Pullmore.Same casting, the works.I would imagine it was to cut down on production costs
