Here's where you can discuss all general diecast stuff - mystery items, ask who made a model of a particular car, ask for info about an obscure manufacturer or chat about anything else related to vehicles smaller than 1:1 scale!

Dinky 424 Commer Articulated Truck, another of my restorations. I would like to find the cage that goes in the top of the trailer.

For a change not a Meccano product from my collection but a Dutch Brand “Lion Car” car transporter
The DAF truck was modified by me and painted in my own colour scheme.
On the carrier you can see two early DAF 600 sedans and a DAF 750 Van in GTI livery also made by Lion Car.

Good photos Jim while also including some identification writing underneath those fine examples Dinky cars.

Thanks James. I thought it might help if all knew what cars were in the sets. The first one is the set Dinky put out originally. I have made my own for the second set and as you can see am still in the process of completing. The Dinky Austin Somerset is now Black and white from one I bought on the net and it is now in Transporter number 2. The Hillman or the Devon will be the next two tone for this transporter. Probably the Hillman as I have a Somerset to replace the Devon.

<p>Let me show you two code 3 Mighty Antars from which I removed the roof hatch to give them a civil appearance. Also the red one got a co-driver.

Thanks for your reply Jim. I thought they might have been a issued set but wasn't that sure. It is still a great idea to see the names thou. And now for those Mighty Antar's great heavy tractors and I still have my collection of them too. Thanks for sharing AJS.

Those of us in Canada will recognize this company.
This is an Ertl built Truck. I sent one to one of our members in New Mexico back in 2010. OldTruck56
It is1:64 scale and is a great display model
