I'm afraid, Theo, that no one will reply your call. The business closed in 1980! Kind regards, Jan

And a Leyland , in used condition but it was cheap. I gather they were only made for a short time and rare ??

Yes, very nice trucks. I have the yellow and green version of the Leyland. Yours is not rare that I am aware of. They were made from 1956 to 1964 and came in Yellow with green Flash, front Bumper and open box. yours is the other color combo and it should have a cream front bumper and the box is riveted to the chassis. My understanding is the Green box is the bolt and nut version as mine is.

I will add to what I said above in that your color was made for 2 years with metal hubs, 1963 to 1964 and only in 1964 did they have plastic hubs. The Other trucks lasted longer Yellow was about the same from 1956 to 1958 and yours was 1958 to 1959. It also came out in the yellow/green version with Yellow above the grille
These trucks also came with mixed hubs of Cast and Plastic as Meccano would not leave any parts unused.
