Hi All, another newbie to the site

As an avid collector of model cars, experience shows it is normally the higher price end models that offer the better detailing, but i had to raise the superb detailing on the latest MBX Unimog model (Dark Metallic Blue) which for a model of this size is a real masterpiece by Matchbox.

Whilst i have to admit my first love is for all cars, i think it only fair to highlight a great model when noticed and this Mercedes Benz Unimog U300 after my purchasing it this week has certainly earned its place in my display cabinet

If I notice any more masterpieces as the collection expands, i\'ll be sure to share

This is a really great truck model - the original Lesney matchbox Unimog is also fantastic. The earlier separate-tyre wheels look better than the superfast ones, but I love the tan color used on the later models.

I have 2 of the earlier version Unimog by Matchbox. Both in very good condition and one is almost mint. Blue and red with yellow hubs. Great little model.

I have three of the early ones: tan/aqua green yellow hubs; blue/red yellow hubs; blue/red transitional superfast.

I believe there was one other variant in army colors.

There\'s also a second generation version brought out by Tyco/Matchbox.
