The first of the two presented here is a Rolls Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville, chassis 3CP38, which was owned by property developer John Gaul, who had the car rebodied in 1946 by Freestone and Webb.
To ensure that he was noticed wherever he went he had the car painted "Chianti red" and the brightwork and all wings made in polished copper.
