I have this tin plate floor jack which looks to be about 1:18th scale, does anyone recognise it as part of a set maybe ?

There is no manufacturers name at all, it is a working model. For size comparison I have shown it beside a Tekno 1:43rd Dodge Truck.

No idea but could it be for a pedal car? Is that a monogram or logo on the top or just raised areas for strength?

No, too small for a pedal car and the raised section is just for strength

Usually with trolley jacks there is a 'retainer' of some sort to locate the jack on the car's underbody, often a circular dished plate with 4 raised lugs. This looks more like it is for raising a wheel.

it certainly has the look and feel of an old toy. Some names I immediately thought of : Buddy L, Triang, Bandai Marx
