As we celebrate Sinterklaas today, I was watching the movie 'Sint', made by Dick Maas. During a break I watched through the window and this is what I saw.

It is widely believed that Coca Cola invented the modern Santa Clause in the picture below. This is not true as it was just adopted by the Coca Cola Company for advertising back in 1931. He had long been in use.
Here is the site.

No Dinky for me this time - but I cannot complain, having been able to add quite some classic beauties recently. However, browsing my picture files I found the images of all surviving Sint Nicolaas Dinky Toys presents from the period 1956-1964. In chronological order below. Some have perished but, miraculously, of the survivors only one (the no. 660 Tank Transporter of 1956) is a repaint and has lost its box. The rest is original, quite good, and boxed, after all these years! Kind regards, Jan

Very nice and your Diplomat is in much nicer condition than mine, even your box is better. Nice to see you actually have pictures of them. Great memories there.

The younger they are, the better - less play-worn - their condition! The Antar fought many wars, the Berliet GAK hardly saw the carpet. Kind regards, Jan
