OMG!
Andy must have his radar set on maximum to be able to find that super rare Rutland toy.

Rutland Plastics was established in January 1956 by Ron Smart and Don Ansell. They made plastic flowers as seen in many British homes adorning living room tables and sideboards through the late 1950,s and 60,s.

Another mainstream product were plastic toys and novelties for pet bird owners, things like those little ladders and mirrors that birds love to play with!

Sadly Rutland Plastics suffered from the onslaught of cheaper Asian produced products and even found it difficult competing with the more well established brands such as Airfix, Merit and Kleeware.

In 1971, the Rutland brand was sold to the massive Dunbee-Combex-Marx company but by 1980, it was all over as even this company was broken up!
