Yesterday I started working on the Pallet Jekta Van. First some detailed photos from the truck and the parts. I really like the way Dinky did the detailing.

Off to a good start. This will be interesting as the Pallet-Jecta I did for a customer was missing all the internal parts. Even the base for the box was gone. He had made his own but it was not good so I made my own for him. Just a plane flat plate with no grooves for the pallet carriers to run in like your has. I also have not see the mechanism before.

Meccano goes above the cab on the front of the box. The others go on the sides of the box.

Would love to have one of these. Somebody is selling a minty one here in Switzerland - starting bid CHF 330 which is about 300 Euros. Way out of my range.

A quick update. Most parts painted and in need of a second color. Masking is the next job.

The darker yellow paint was also used on the 972 Coles crane. I had that paint made for me when restoring the 972. I still have it in a rattlecan available. The yellow is by Motip and is called primrose yellow.

Good on the Primrose as that is the color of Steve's paint that I used.
