Added this one a couple of years ago. Apart from the excellent details I like that the doors open.

That is sweet and with opening doors, it just makes it perfect.

Very nice looking Traction, not sure if I've ever seen a small(ish) scale verion with opening doors before (but I do have one from Solido (#4032) with opening bonnet )

Speaking of scale, how big is this? Siku have always used some odd scales, so my first guess would be around 1/55, but you never know. Also, I'm wondering about the age - it does have the look of a vintage casting, but again: you never know.

It's quite new. You can tell by the wheels. Scale is the odd 1/55 approx

If I had more that 2 or 3 Siku models Maybe I could tell they were newer style rims.

the first ones were like Lesney's with dark grey plastic wheels.
then they printed spokes surrounded by the Siku name.
The thin wheels became fatter.
Then for the trucks and tractors they developed realistic generic diecast hubs with hard rubber/plastic tires.
Cars followed a decade later and around the millenium Siku cars had various forms of magwheels.

The reason I said it looked vintage was mostly because of the bumpers - to me they seem to be metal (not very common today, more so earlier) Also the seats reminded me of 60s-70s style.

Yes, I did notice the hubs, but I believe Siku have always strayed from the standard wheel-types now and then, and thought this could be one such occasion, in order to capture the look of the original.

if it helps Tee, the bumpers were cast as one piece with the chassis.

Just like Matchbox its a popular classic car.

Siku mostly aims at German models and will stray to other European brands on occassion.

Its a nice solid piece and well worth collecting.

Collected a couple of Mini's as well.

nice one Drak.

but this Siku is not my first... I have collected quite a few over the years.
Some of my favorites are the car transporters.

Also have a classic Citroën DS

Sorry Richard that came out wrong, I was trying to say I also now have the CTA and that it is my first Siku purchase. I also like the fact that Siku put out a little catalogue book you can read/look through.
