That is quite the collection of older Siku models. Thanks for showing us.

Continuation is not feasible because prices for V Series have gone bonkers.

Excellent collection of Siku models. How long did it take you to collect these Siku.

What triggered it was my aunt giving me her BASF tanker. That was about 5 years ago.

And look where a harmless yet nice gift lead to.

Have you seen the going rates for those BASF exclusives?
If I'd have known the opposite of adding examples to it would have happened.
Well, at least let's pretend it would have...

Collecting Siku in earnest is really something for people in a higher income group than the one I am in.

I know. Some Siku command very high prizes at the NAMAC fair too

Picked up another V Series to add to my collection. I love this era of Siku. V348 Container Truck "LKW mit Wechsel-Lader-System"

The model is V348 but box also references 2811 which I believe is the 4 digit system they used starting in the mid 70's. Im no expert though so please comment if you know, but I assume old stock got new numbering system?

Box is taddy but nice to have and very pleased this model doesn't suffer from very common "melted wheel hubs".
Nice detail and playability such as opening container, removable bed so truck can "pick up and drop off" its cargo, tilt cab (although engine has little detail).
Very solid models and well built. As discussed in another thread Siku varied their scales. This model is slightly larger than other V series so the realism is lost when this container truck is bigger than other container or tanker trucks.

there is a thread in the Siku category "What is it with Siku V series and Melting Wheels" that discusses the melted wheels I mentioned

Good model toy with working loading and and detachment unloader on wheels. Always liked the chassis on Siku trucks.

Time to revive the Siku topic a bit. Not an actual car or truck, but the manual for the Siku 4210 Tower crane. The paper has turned yellowish, meaning it is not wood-free paper. Nevertheless, worth saving and showing here

Wow, that is some complicated crane. Nice to have these instructions as I bet there are not many left now.

I previously sold the crane. I comes from the collection of the collector who is forced to sell his collection through me because of his illness. When I picked up all his Corvettes I came across it
