I cant really pinpoint why, but those Siku Ford 500's are of a few that I call my favourites of my entire diecast collection. Will never part with those!

Found this picture on the net of the real deal. The Siku's are practically perfect in detail

Love Siku........

Here are some Xmas gifts from me to me

V Series of course.

V291 Cement Mixer, V361 Unimog Hubwagen and V331 Aral Race Service. All complete but playworn. I never knew such a truck like the Hubwagen actually existed. This Siku version is much earlier, but I found this video link to a more modern similar truck. Quite ingenious of it's design. Not around here in Canada either.

Dropped the load, get refueled and off again ......... vrooooooom.

Interesting concept hydraulic raise and lowering level for unloading and loading ease.

Only ones in Canada that I am aware of are platform truck lifts and loaders at most airports throughout the country. On the right side of the plane and most are of similar designs.

Hi

The lifting machine beside the aircraft is a 'Hi-Lo', a contraction of high loader, made to lift pallets (2 at a time) up to aircraft cargo doors, the aircraft catering trucks also have hydraulic lifting bodies to get the van body up to the doors (usually on the opposite side of the aircraft so both can be used at the same time). I used to have a Brian James 'break back' car carrying trailer which used a hand pumped hydraulic ram to lift the front of the trailer. Ill try find a picture.

Have fun

As a F1 models collector I have 3 SIKU Formula 1 cars. If I am not very much mistaken they have issued 4 liveries and actually I have bought the 4th one (yellow) recelnty so hope to have all 4 by the end of this week

I am afraid you are not there yet. There was a licensed Sauber and an unlicensed Ferrari (which was later (almost immediately after) modified into the red car you have there). I believe there are more versions still.

Oh no! Just did some web search and You are right!

Although the switch from Ferrari model to the red one (and a similar change from McLaren to silver one) was a small change of just one or two logo's and one may argue its almost the same car, I am definitely missing the Sauber (which looks great!) and also a blue Williams-like car:

Its hunting time then - game on!

Just got this V270 Zettelmeyer Europ L2000 loader. Earlier version in green and orange. Very nice shape despite paint chips. All parts there. Nice little model, well actually not too small; 6" long. Another "V" to add to the Siku collection
