I only have three Siku models and they were all found at the local dump in the free for the taking room.

Unimog and a Ford Escort GL and a Mercedes Benz E290T

All in not bad condition for finding them in the bottom of a box.

These are the only two Siku vehicles that I have. They are not real common here in South Texas. The truck I picked up at a flea market and the car I found in a small store. The car looks like a Porsche in the front and a Corvette in the rear.

The "Corvette" is one out of a series of generic models and ar enot well-loved in the SIKU collector scene, as the ones that do depict rela vehicles are.

The yellow truck came with a trailer and on top of it was a foot bridge you could assemble without glue. I got one myself.

SIKU started out making cars out of plastic.

This Krupp is a good example. Krupp was a German truck manufacturer. The truck has a fully functioning crane from Ardelt on top.

Later, they started making things in metal.

This DKW F12 is a good example of this.

These cars all had a number starting with a V and are therefore divided into V-plastic and V-metal. Later they started using the number that is in use today with 4 numbers.

Like this, the Wiesmann GT MF5 Roadster.

Of course, over the years other things changed. The wheels for example used to be like on this Mercedes van, black with a white stripe and the word SIKU on it:

The same type of wheels was used on cars, van, trucks, etc.

Some of the specialist toy shops do stock them here in Geelong although I did see a good display in Melbourne the other week when I was killing time. I like the hydraulic rear crane looks to have some nice functional detail included on the MAN truck.

I just love Siku V Series. I call them "V" for vintage. I don't have many though. Great quality, design and features!!!!!

I will post my collection shortly but for now I received these this past month.

I'm with you, I love Siku too. And as they're harder to find at car boot sales and flea markets they're all the sweeter when you do find them. That said I've had this one since I was a kid.

I forgot about the Audi Siku that I won on Toy Collector at the Charity Auction back in 2010 or 2009? A set of 5 but no dates on the packages so I don't know what year exactly. They would be brand new when at the auction.
#1339 Audi A4 Cabrio

#1428 Audi TT with opening doors I think

#1429 Audi Q7

#1439 Audi A4 Avant -  with catalogue and opening doors, I think.

Discovered a 2009 Catalogue folded up under this car. If you look hard you can see the red stripe on the side of the catalogue under the front bumper. Black with red stripe

#1460 Fire Command Car with opening doors, I think.

That is it for my Siku for this thread now.

You have got some very good cars there. The Hanomag Henschel truck are very realistic.
I had the Aral one, complete with the hoses and the nozzles as a kid, sold it about ten years ago.
The pick up trucks with trailers are rare, you don't see them so complete as a set
Thanks for bringing back memories....
