Hello Tekno Fans,

Just received the Tekno Denmark SMH Volvo B617 Swiss Post Telegraph & Telephone Service Bus - Tekno Catalog #850 last weekend from an estate sale, a perfect partner for my Swiss PTT Volkswagen Beetle - Tekno Catalog #819 set together in this little Alpine scene, Enjoy!

Hello Tom,

Christmas is early this year

What a superb set. And the background is wonderful

Yes Theo, it was Christmas here already TWICE, for I found this Tekno Denmark #851DBP  Scania CR76 just yesterday for a great price..........

It's missing a plastic Skylight, but I already have one ordered from my parts bin overseas.
I think that this toy will be a perfect match for a Tekno #819 Bundespost Beetle *with the Mustang wheels*  when I can find one.

I recently acquired this Tekno #413 "Philips" Radio & TV van here in the states at a real bargain, it's in very good shape , it just has some sloppily added silver model paint trim by a previous young owner.....

I did a slight cleaning and polishing, the decals are nearly 100% a few flea bites, dry tires, the only minus point is the added silver paint, which I tried to remove, but there's too much danger of damaging the original paint, so I'll just leave it as is.

I really enjoy the Tekno advertising vans, Tekno made over one hundred of them or more with the paper thin, very vulnerable but beautifully colored decals.

Tom

P.S. I just wanted to note that Tekno made three variations of the "Philips" van, the white over a darker medium blue (as my toy is) and  a white over a lighter blue grey color and finally a very dark blue over poppy red (a very rare version) and they all used the same decals. ~  See photo examples below.........

Hybrid Teknos - I love that they are now back alive and in great shape!

How did you attach the Volvo - it is the only one without a turntable on the back, I think?
