These are very nice solid toys I have not really looked at Tekno before , i believe they do a Ford D Series lorry.

Those are my favorites! Made in Denmark by Kirk for Tekno, so either name is on the baseplate.

1/50 scale so slightly larger than their cars but close enough!

The bucket opens at the rear to let out its contents instead of how most excavators just empty its contents by changing the angle of the bucket and the contents falls out from the teeth end opening, is what I should have referred too. Cheers.

On the white cement truck, does the hood open up or is it just a wide line in the hood?

It is the latter Jim. I have not tested it but I am fairly sure it is glued or screwed together. Perhaps Karls knows

The Scania 110 cab was shared by many Tekno trucks - it has an opening hood but on some of mine they are very hard to open. I am scared to try it... but on other 110s they open easily with a fingernail. The Scania 75/76 do not open, as well as the Volvo cab.

Theo, I would try to open the hood on the cement truck. It looks older and more play worn than the red Scania Karls shows.
Karls, does the red truck you show here have a conveyor inside the box? if not what is the handle at the rear for?

And this is the Scania Vabis 110 Log carrier with an extendable trailer. Great engineering by Tekno...

Excellent to see another Log Carrier (Timber Jinka Australian) is what we would refer to down yonder. There is a green version much early in this thread. Cheers.

Noble - the red Scania is NOT like the Dinky! The handle at the back is to move the 3rd axle up an down. Did not work so well (at least on mine), so I assume they changed it to a slider on the bottom.
