TOPIC: Lledo Diecast

Lledo was a brand of diecast toys, founded in 1982 by Matchbox co-founder Jack Odell and Burt Russell. The factory produced diecast vehicles in Enfield, England from 1983 to 1999. Models were later made in China. Lledo was a reversal of Odell's own surname, a mnemonic device from war days in the African desert so as not to forget his wireless call sign..Pinched this little intro from W'pedia.

Couldn't find an already done thread so started this one as I won my 1st Vintage car yesterday and am stoked,

I started a collection of these back in the early 80's when they first started , some models came with figures, I have a box full of early models in storage.

Drak these Lledo's are a nice and cheap item to collect.

I've had around 100 of them in the past and sold them on.

There are lots of models produced and over one thousand different livery's so good luck on collecting these charming models.

Yes they are nice and cheap to collect, I had mine in a box for years  , because of this thread I took them out. They are simple compared to todays models , but they have got a "Machbox "charm about them (must have been Jack Odells influence).
