Lately i find that plastic parts likd grilles and bumpers are replaceable with diecast parts.

Is this normal?

There is a seller on Ebay who sells these, I bought a restored model with these fitted & they look good but not correct as they should be plastic, although it depends on the restorers choice of what to fit.

Yes. A couple years ago got diecast replacement for my Morris Minor 1000.
The grille needs adjusting.

I think they look nice and will likely last longer than plastic.

I wonder if the are 3D printed

If they are metal, I doubt they are 3D printed. I don't think they do that yet or if at all. they are probably spin cast in silicone moulds like SF does with his parts.
If you want the proper plastic grilles etc, check out Steve;s shop or contact me.

Yeah I've got a metal grille for a Morris 1100 waiting to be fitted. Needed a bit of fettling to fit properly, but think it looks better than the original. It doesn't look like the original mind... but that's the good thing, there's a choice depending on what 'look' you're going for.
