TOPIC: Ingap plastic

Ingap plastic 2 years, 10 months ago #1

Gold Boarder
Ingap was a toy producer from padova Italy, the name was an acronym for Industria Nazionale Giocattoli Automatici Padova.

They made toy cars of all sizes, the last years mainly plastic. In 1972 they were absorbed into eurotoys and stopped existing as a brand.

The below race cars I owned as a child but had totally forgotten about. So when I first saw them again and recognized them it was a nice shock..

The first two boxed images are from the autojauneblog.fr site which is an amazing collection site.

The only non racing car in this size bracket (1/43 ish) is a Ford Taunus model.

In the smaller scale they also had a few series of mainly a bit coarsely done cars, but still nice to have.

In the commercial range they did a number of fiats. Although plastic models they were still painted.

''The only non racing car in this size bracket (1/43 ish) is a Ford Taunus model.''

If you mean the only non race car in the set pictured then correct. The Taunus does in fact have 5 other companion models that make up a saloon car set which includes this Rolls-Royce.

Rollerman.

Really nice looking race cars and seem to be in near mint if not mint condition. Finding toys like this in ones home after years is always a treat. Thanks for showing. I have never heard of them before.

That was indeed what I meant Ingap has some more models in this range.

Nice quality model that Rolls Roye.

Here you can see some more:

Here are some 1/48 RR.

I got a mint light grey too. And I even saw a translucid green one.

Rampini as in
The golden book of model cars 1900-1975.
It is an amazing book. Compared to the guides of Edward Force there are so much more model car brands inside, it never ceases to amaze me.

By far the most expensive (and expansive) book on model cars I ever bought, but no regrets..

That Alfa looks pretty near perfect.

12 is a Chrysler Imperial, perhaps!

It must be the chrysler. They only made two series of roadcars in this format so the link is pretty exhaustive.

They exist as models with and without glazing. I only have them without glazing and will post some pictures of them soon.
