As it is a rainy day I went to look for Solido's I have (yesterday I got a very nice Simca.from the 100 series). I have to look into Solido to find out more ,the models are nice

Talbot must be owned by Chrysler or visa versa as this looks just like the Chrysler Horizon my wife had.

Yes , I think Chrysler bought Talbot , but they discontinued production in France after a while. The Horizon and the Tagora were among the last models we saw over here in Holland

Superb early Solido Phantom III (always has to be in Roman Numerals!), with the protruding axle-ends.


Solido became part of 'MAJORETTE' in 1980. In 1984, some re-tooling to place on the Rolls-Royce models with modified 'Spirit of Ecstacy' mascots and solid wheels so the axle-ends no longer came through the centre.
