Quite a few years ago i was give a Solido model of a GMC WW2 Army truck, i am sure it was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of WW2. may you guys will know more about this model. it was in a box like this.

But in the box was a model of this.

I have searched through a lot of sites but can't find any info on this model. Can any of you Solido fans help out here.  I had this for a fair number of years and was always kept in the box, my Son has this now. (I hope)

Thanks. Bill.

Hello Faro

Solido had / have a range of military vehicles and put them in special boxes for theD day

anniversary ( I think 60 years). There are a lot of tanks as well.

I have besides the GMC a jeep ,a  Dodge Ambulance and a half track.

Some castings were used for fire engines in the Toner Gam series , which were cheap and sold in Supermarkets .In the real world the surplus Army trucks had a second life in civil life a well.

I think the GMC model is a very nice model of a famous truck.

and a GMC with raft and a Dodge converted in a crane
