The CIJ seems to be more faithful than the Solido.

Hi    ...I'm a newcomer on this forum I always liked 1/43 diecasts ,Dinky Toys,  Corgi Toys, Politoys, Pilen and all the great diecasts makers  but I prefer Solido , Mebetoys and Mercury. One of my favourite  SOLIDO
LANCIA FLAMINIA....50 years old but still great !!!

Is that the first toy with opening doors ?

Nice cars and thanks for showing. 50 years old makes them from about 1965. I think others had opening doors back then. Corgi comes to mind. 248 Chevy Impalla foe oine and did not the doors open on the 318 Lotus Elan S2? and also the 314 Ferrari Berlinetta? They were all released in 1965.

made since 1961 SOLIDO  told us : " it is the first 1:43 diecast with OPENING DOORS "

1961 no doubt ..it was before CORGI, DINKY or NOREV...

PS

LE MANS 1969
FERRARI was unlucky in 1969, losing the 19  during the first lap( Amon was involved  in the  fatal crash of John Woolfe ) the 18 made a good run with Pedro Rodriguez & David Piper but the gearbox failed during the nigt

This looks so cool! Great that a piece of history is added to the pictures. It seems as if the last picture has THREE racers.....and eh, what it the loose red part doing there, part of the transporter maybe?

Looks like the tail gate to me.

Re: SERIE 100 A must 4 years, 10 months ago #27

Junior Boarder
Yes it is the tailgate...

The third Ferrari ( on the truck ) is a longtailed 512 S FERRARI

Thanks again, the transporter is really in the style of the Ecurie. I noticed there is space behind the cabin, no doubt there is a workshop in there. As I am always trying to find the best way to make, how the cars get off and on transporters, I am also interested in that.
