Going through the pages and sorting out the shops, resin and plastic, I\'ve come up with what I think are 25 confirmed manufacturers so far. The list, if all parties are in agreement is as follows:
1. A R
2. CIJ
3. Dinky France
4. Eligor
5. Faracars
6. Jouef
7. JRD
8. Majorette
9. Norev
10.Quiralu
11.Rami
12.Safir
13.Solido
14.S R
16.Hot Wheels France
17.Champion
18.Verem
19.Max Models
20.Eria
21.CEF
22.Jadli
23.Midget Toys
24.Salza
25.Rail Route

I think this is the list so far, as it fits the ground rules of Mazk, Zamac, or Zamak die cast. Let me know if I missed any.

26.  PR - made two 1/43 advertising trucks for the Tour de France, Waterman and Savon Ambre Le Chat  (recently redone or remade by CIJ)

What about 1/43 Super Champion?  1/43 LeMans cars with diecast base and plastic body? Do they count if they are 50% diecast?

No, Super Champion don\'t count - by definition the body needs to be zamak and the base can be anything.

Universal Hobbies says on their website they\'re based in France. They definitely should go here.

Thanks, Jan, let\'s see if Andrew accepts this one...

More more, please!  I am sure it is just a quesiton of time until we get to 50 (although I will loose the bet on technical grounds, I think the timeframe was sometimes this week.

Lansay makes the \"Cars\"-series of diecast vehicles, amongst others.

The name Smoby is attached to a kind of pre-school type toy cars. I believe these are partly diecast too.

Universal Hobbies does count (also, they have many models I now want!!!!)

As far as Smoby goes, I can only see plastic models and Lansay appears to only make cars from Cars in plastic (although if they make metal ones, they would count).

ETA:

According to my calculations, that makes 27. So you have until tomorrow (the 20th August) to find another 23!!!

Oldtrucks came up with a balance figure of 25 and now the figure has improved to 27 which is reasonably good to see. I\'ll check when I come back from Broken Hill in a weeks time. Cheers.

SE Model made some miniatures from Solido and say \"Made in France for Solido\" at the box, so presumably another one
