This will be my third Italeri Renault AE500 Magnum

Got this for a bargain NZ $75 locally. Now my first one i bought in the early nineties and actually build it to spec. Took a few months and really took my time detailing it. One of the problems was that it was top heavy at the front and the front axle would sag. I supported the front on lego blocks.

The second one i bought in the late nineties.

Had a really stupid idea to make it into a super RV with ofcourse room for a car.

Interior design is not my thing so for twenty years this silly idea has stalled.

Why a third kit of the same truck? As you can see from the photo its a single rear axle. I have a spare from the RV conversion and the plan is to extend it into a tandem double diff.

Now it is just a matter of when

Great idea and good luck. Maybe you will get motivated this time.

Another silly idea.

That will be some work with extending the rear body to accommodate the additional set of wheels back there. Will be a good project for the end of your winter.

Ironically i had done it before.

Figure it will be good to continue building my other silly idea once i find all the bits and bops.

And repair number one

It will be at least a month until the second truck arrives.

I need to stock up on glue.

Colour for this one i thought yellow and black.
Make it into an AA brand.
And ofcourse create my own transfers.
Will need a lot

Ah, did not know you did this one once before.
Yes, there are a lot of transfers on this truck. Most should be fairly easy to do as it looks like a common block text for most and the red/white flashes should be easy enough on white decal paper.

Was before the internet.
Way before.

I am on my way home.
What i did was extend the chassis with a car transporter trailer. I wanted a garage carport for the car

on another note, am bidding on a car I will never have in real life but I find it super cool.

Its called the Mazda Cosmo sport and it came oiut in 1967 using the illfated Wankel Rotary engine.
The car is as cute as the lotus elan, around the same size too.

anyway the kit car is 16.5cm in length so will be ideal for the RV I was building.

twenty years on I have acquired new skills.
