Yes, we know it's a little bit of a contradiction in terms, but here's where you can talk about Norev, Minialuxe, Siku, Polistil, Tomte, Auburn, Sun Rubber or any other ready-made model car that's made of plastic or rubber. Hey, they're still cast in dies!

Thanks for that. Quality in detail in such a small scale OO/HO has come a long way with those small ones.

They are quite accurate renditions of the real cars and in the case of the Rolls-Royce, they have put One petrol filler flap in the correct position on One rear wing. The 'OK TOYS' version has a petrol filler flap on both rear wings, OOPS!

I got these Albion lorries this week , one minus it's mixer. The crane the digger lorry however has suffered the elements of being in a box for years with a "rubber duck" which has melted the chassis, so the seller told me.

That is a shame but a common problem with old plastics and rubbers reacting while in contact. It has also caught the side of the excavator body and there is nothing you can do to repair it or stop it once the process has started!

Are the new batteries to big or too small. Could you please show us your problem so we all can have some impute with your problem. Those plastic toy cars you have been showing us a terrific in detail of the real full scale motor vehicles from the past.

Will do GunnerJim, I will get the models out again when I get a chance , the problem is the new batteries are "fatter" than the older style, "Ever Ready" & "Flying Bomb" were a perfect  fit.

Andy,

can you show a photo of the batteries you need? I sell them professionaly, so perhaps I can give you some advise

They should be standard 'AA' batteries for most cars that use a bulb.

Good idea is also show the battery compartment and its cover would also help other collectors who surf in for a look see including me. Just love these plastic toys.

Edit: Just check out my plastic toy soldier collection on here.

Models from this period will use 'C' or 'D' type, 'D' being bigger of the Two. Many cabled remote controlled plastic toy cars use a singe 'D' in the hand held unit. The 'OK Toys' being compatible with the 'Tri-Ang' 1/20th cars means the batteries are probably the same which means they will be 'C', 'UII', 'LR14' type (although the Tri-Ang MGA uses 3 x 'AA' type) and this size is still available from 'DURACELL'.
