Yes, we know it's a little bit of a contradiction in terms, but here's where you can talk about Norev, Minialuxe, Siku, Polistil, Tomte, Auburn, Sun Rubber or any other ready-made model car that's made of plastic or rubber. Hey, they're still cast in dies!

I gather that the R&L Cereal toys were later (1975) sold through retail outlets as Aurora "Snap-a-Roos" I don't remember these but being Aurora they may have been sold in the US.

I have just found the garage which came from the Kelloggs Cornflakes offer with the Corgi cars, it has got a bit bent up in storage but it survived with the cars. I have also included a couple of Minors which I made into convertables

Here are the models advertised for the UK market in the late 60's (this advert form 1968), and several sets were made with packets of plasticene and one set with paints and brushes (shown in the advert), but during the 70's they were being handled by 'JET PETROL' as gifts with the purchase of fuel and those ones have a little promtional card inserted into the clear poly bag and on each card, the model was described as being taking part in an overall race, so you had to collect all of them to make sense of how the race was proceeding!

1968 UK modellers magazine advertisment.

Here are some of my Bentley models, in slim box and clear 'JET PETROL' gift packs. The bright red pack is not made by the same company as the green models, it is a copy of the Bentley, from an unknown source, very rare and something I treasure.

A copy of the 'JET PETROL' Bentley, very rare.

'MPC' made loads of soft plastic vehicles as 'give-away' toys for Christmas crackers and cereals etc, here is a 'Blower' Bentley.

...and here is a Silver Ghost.

...and here is a Silver Cloud.

I have 2 different give a way's here , the first is a Ford Capri with the number 73 on the bonnet, I know of the Escort rally car, a friend who collects the Magic Roundabout figures given away with Milk biscuits in the 70's tells me that these were given away with cereals early 70's , can anyone shed some light on this.

The second is a Sunbeam Rapier given away by a French Soap company during the late 50's / 60's. The company was CadumPAX & I have seen a few models

I have a friend who has every single figure in all colours  in this collection , they were given away with a milk biscuit not sure if made by Nabisco, a few years ago he started collecting them & he was obsessed with getting every one.

I do have some myself somewhere, I also remember my sister sending off for the Magic Round About "Snap" playing cards which she still has , which I think were on offer before the figures came out.

<p>I bought a box of mixed plastic toys the other day , reason being I saw these 2 cerial toys in the picture, the MK1 Ford Escort Rally &amp; the Ford GT, both had been painted so i soaked them &amp; cleaned off the paint, i think the escort should have a few bits on it as there are holes in the grill , wings &amp; top of windscreen, I have pictured with the Capri I already had as the pictures early on in this topic are blurred.
