Yes, we know it's a little bit of a contradiction in terms, but here's where you can talk about Norev, Minialuxe, Siku, Polistil, Tomte, Auburn, Sun Rubber or any other ready-made model car that's made of plastic or rubber. Hey, they're still cast in dies!

Sounds like you need another house Andy... Storage can get expensive used to store my car bumpers in one time.

Andy, is there a local museum where you live who would be happy to rent you some cabinet space for some of your collection.

Andy I noticed that the two VW camper van look so similar I would swear they were molding in the same plastic injection machine. The Mk 3 Ford Cortina police car scrubbed up good. Cheers.

A joy to look at, with all those figures and furniture that came with them. What scale are they?

They are the same moulds only there is a difference apart from the bases , the Telsalda one is right hand drive.
With regards the scale, I have said before I am useless at working them out but if I show with the toy it is possibly copied from it will give you an idea , also from your Corgi likes ,Keesie.

Thanks Andy, I will try and explain how it works. The small Corgi in your picture (I measured mine) is 9 centimeters long, right? How long is the big one?

See:

www.poptop.nl/uitvoeringen/vw-t1-westfalia/

The real one is 4190mm so 9 cm = 419 cm

The first figure must be a '1', so you have to devide 9:9=1

Then the second part, so 419, also has to be devided by 9

This is 1: 46,55

Big fun Andy, so many versions!!!! I wonder which ones was first, Corgi or the others you show!!

No, go back to your original comparing, the Corgi and the boxed blue VW. Can you measure the length of the blue one?

Re: Telsalda Hong Kong & Others... 1 month ago #1514

Platinum Boarder
It's 16.5 cm long .
The Corgi ones were first.

Re: Telsalda Hong Kong & Others... 1 month ago #1515

Platinum Boarder

Ok, 16.5 cm is in real 419 cm so 16.5 = 419

1 = 25.39 so the scale is 1:25
