Yes, we know it's a little bit of a contradiction in terms, but here's where you can talk about Norev, Minialuxe, Siku, Polistil, Tomte, Auburn, Sun Rubber or any other ready-made model car that's made of plastic or rubber. Hey, they're still cast in dies!

TOPIC: Daily Dose of Random Rhodialite

That has a more powerful engine. Here is a bit from Wikipedia.

Corvair introduced in February 1960 was RPO 649, a more powerful engine, the "Super Turbo Air". Super Turbo Air was rated at 95 hp (71 kW; 96 PS) at 4,800 rpm and 125 lb⋅ft (169 N⋅m) of torque at 2,800 rpm due to a revised camshaft, revised cylinder heads with dual springs, and a lower restriction muffler with a 2" outlet. This option was available in any Corvair model, except in 1960, the RPO 649 was not available with RPO 360, the Powerglide automatic transmission.

What a wonderful topic this is. I have never collected Norev, knew a little about the company, but after reading and viewing this topic, I know more. Thank you so much.

BTW: my French isn't that good, but how about:
un rêve mouillé

for answering your previous question?

It's a Citroen HY van (1200kg).
When I got it, it had lost its stickers, so I made my own.
Bordeau Chesnel makes Rillettes du Mans, one of my favourite staples when in France.

My Citroen 2CVs. Two of them need headlights, one of them needs to be replaced with a better example, however, the Commerciales (vans) are rare in good condition and the asking prices consequently reflect that.

I have always found these to be strange looking little cars and trucks. Thanks for showing.

They came in various colours, each with its own array of stickers.
The red ones were either Calor, or Canard Duchene.

Anyway, only Citroen could ever get away with that styling. They did make weirder looking things, though, such as the Citroen Ami.

what a shame that some of these fine detailed cars warp in the course of time...

Shame? It's hilarious!

A grotesquely warped Rolls Royce is hitherto sadly eluding me.

Serie "Moyen Age" Citroen 5CV, or, more correctly, Citroen Type C.

Released in 1958, it was the harbinger of an entire range of very well made classic cars.

The only other "Moyen Age" I own are this Peugeot 301:

And this Renault NN1:

isn't that called a bullnose

Re: Daily Dose of Random Rhodialite 4 years, 2 months ago #30

I don't think Renault used the 'Bullnose' nickname, but it certainly applies to a Morris car where you can have a Morris Cowley Flat Nose or Bull Nose design grille area.
