Here's where you can talk about model tanks, armoured cars, staff cars and any other model military vehicles, whether they're kits, diecast or anything else!

TOPIC: Britains collection still growing.

Jim,

Came with a repaired key. Runs really well and I was really pleased.

Last two were not fully complete or running, will speak with a friend of mine who is a clock restorer, and clockwork mechanism repairer/guru for the Bassett Lowke Society, and others. He'll be able to sort at least one out.

Really interesting article from Britains. this was to motorise the trucks and guns, also the tractors as well. Later Britains produced vans/trucks with a similar clockwork mechanism built in. Hope to get one soon!!

I agree about this set it is finding them complete in box is hard to find although if one has the cash flow Vectis is the place to go.

Lacey Scott in Bury St. Edmunds often have a great range of Britains items. Once missed a GPO van, the square cab one they mad pre war. Not really into it then and after Gauge one items in the other hall - never sen another one at auction, going to repaint an ambulance ( a tatty one with dodgy paint and no doors - fit repro parts) to create a replica.

They run two auctions on the same day at the same time, Die-casts in one room and the railway/live steam etc in the other one. Well worth a quick look at.

That is one large collection of Britain's toys. Lots of gas pumps and motorcycles too. Nice to see.
You can get larger pictures if you choose the Hotlink for Forums, third from the bottom instead of the Thumbnails. I can click on all but the very first photo and see a larger version too if I want. Up to you as to which you pick to post.
They all look great.
