That's right Dinkydi.

The last place I expected to see a Milton was at a Sydney toyfair.

I actually first spotted it 2 weeks ago at Granville but it didn't click as a Corgi copy and the box had a laminated finish so I assumed that it wasn't original.

Later I found an image on Vectis with a similar shiny finish and my heart sank thinking I let it go.

Couldn't believe it when it was still there today. And I even had the nerve to haggle the price down.

You must have been there early because I didn't see it

The Lions of Longleat collection is growing.

I found another Safari Landrover

It's the one on the left and has Jimson No. 115 Hong Kong on the base.

The other in the more modern blue box is made in China.

Continuing with the Safari theme, I also picked up a Jeep and Lion Cage trailer set by Majorette and another by Tootsietoy.

But I may be clutching at straws for some connection with Corgi's Lions of Longleat.

A few of my latest finds.

Smokey and the Bandit, Dad's Army, Magnum, Super Karts and Ashes to Ashes.

and a few more that aren't Corgi.

First a Nacoral Rolls Royce that I thought looked familiar.

I'm not familiar with Nacoral and to be honest I thought it was diecast and a similar scale to Corgi's Silver Ghost.

Surprised to find a large plastic model and without glazing.

Is it a Corgi Copy though?

Perhaps there is some influence but unlikely.

Lastly another set that probably shouldn't be in this topic but here goes.

Blue Box City Traffic Set

I think it's complete with all 24 pieces.

I added the Corgi Austin Cambridge to get an idea of scale.

Wouldn't it be great to find that catalog.

Some really great finds there mate. I like them all, a few I have never seen before so thanks for sharing.

As for that last set the models resemble Matchbox Lesney dont they?

Re: Corgi Finds 6 years, 1 month ago #101

Hello CorgiCrossEyed. The 'NACORAL' Rolls-Royce is One of Three models they make, all with the same chassis/wing design. Only the Silver-Grey 'Pullman' body was based on the Corgi model.

The 'BLUE-BOX' set is nice and does look complete and as "Dinkyjay" mentions, their cars and trucks were based-on and copied from contemporary "Matchbox" models.

Rollerman.
