Here you go Bond mountain...

And for the completists out there are I know that there are 2 type 1 Bond Astons and a type 2 with whizz wheels and the reason they aren't there is because I couldn't be bothered to go and find them okay?

I have no involvement in the website whatsoever and yes it's a 100% genuine 349 pop art mini

 I'm very impressed.
You must have an amazing collection Michael.

I thought there was some connection to that website considering your DB5 prototype was shown there.

Love the Pop Art. That must be worth many $1000's

I'm fortunate enough to have a terrific DrDinky Pop Art creation to go alongside my original playworn example.

Another package arrived today.

A new No. 374 Whizzwheels 'E' type Jaguar with wing mirrors.

The difference between the two is more than just the mirrors though.

The model in front is a 'series 2' Jag with a 4.2 Litre 6 cylinder engine.
The other is a 'series 3'  5.2 Litre V12 with revised grill, headlights and a completely remodelled engine.

I only paid £573 for it and for a model that usually sells for a four figure sum is rarer than the pop art mini itself these days and a big middle figure to the dealers that I beat to acquire it heres a thread about it

Congratulations Michael. You did really well.

I just worked out how to search previous posts by author so I'll certainly be going back to learn more.

There was a large crowd at Penrith today.

I left with a bag full of Corgi's and a much lighter wallet.

Looks like a real good collection you have managed to pick up.

Nice haul of Corgi shame the Batbike hasn't got its detachable header card as that'd be the cherry on the cake

Re: Corgi Finds 7 years ago #53

There sure was a large crowd, I did notice the Bat Bike and thought "that might sell to you know who"

I also noticed a Bedford Carrimore but thought it was a bit expensive

I bought a Dinky Bedford non tipper and a Minichamps '49 Ford.

It certainly was busy.
There was a considerable wait to get in which I haven't seen before.
Hope they improve things next time. It was friggin cold out there.

I didn't notice the Bedford Carrimore and yes, the Batbike header card wasn't to be.
Still has the missiles and base clamp though.
Plus I did manage to get the price down to something very reasonable so I think it worked out OK.

Nice set Blackstone.

If only I could find an earlier one.

Very rare though.

Here's what I've found in the meantime.

Corgi Cubs R503 MG with chrome plating.

I wonder if the plating was added or dropped during production.

This next one is cool.

1976 Fleetwood Tarzan Safari Racktoy.
Made in Hong Kong.

The Landrover looks remarkably similar to the Lions of Longleat version.

Yep, I'd say it's pretty much a direct copy.

The Longleat collection is growing.

Speaking of direct copies.

It can't get more direct than this.

Formula 1 cars made in Hong Kong for S.S. Kresge Company, Michigan.

Quality isn't up to Corgi standards but they certainly tried.

Team Surtees TS9

John Player Special Lotus

and Ferrari 312 B2

One last photo taken of my finds from tonights fair at Granville.

Not much Corgi but I was happy to find a very Nice Juniors HulkCycle.

Also couldn't resist the Matchbox Lock-ups after seeing one on the quiz.

Plus a nice Metosul Mercedes Benz 200 Comando
