I know exactly where you are coming from Andy no amount of money will replace such treasured items over the past 2/3 years I’ve seen massive collections on various sites broken up and sold off and I wonder If the owner is regretting it yep they probably are...
Don't forget that the older collectors are fading fast so some are estate sales and others are for retirement funds. I am sure there are those who will regret but I bet most are happy to get the cash back out of their collection. If they are anything like myself, they would be holding on to some of the more cherished items as reminders.
