This isn't mine but I thought it might underline the enormity of the Corgi challenge.

They should all be there, it is comprehensive...

Have you looked in all the sections?

e.g. Public Officers are in accessories and the Hoynor Transporter are under Husky Majors

The pre-1983 (Mettoy) Corgi Juniors are now up!

By the way we are just working on the Corgi Classics right now and we need some help urgently to help fill in some of the gaps. If anyone has any old Corgi Classics catalogues, inventory lists or photos please PM me.

Thanks,

Adam

Just a quick addendum to that - there's a few that'll be getting uploaded separately a bit later, so if your favourite's not up yet, that's probably why and it'll be there very shortly

"This 1:64ish model represents the London - Mexico rally winner from 1970. Note Corgi even applied the correct number plate.

The rally started at Wembley Stadium in London on 19 April and finished in Mexico City on 27 May and covered around 16,000 miles (25,750 km) through Europe and South America. It was won by Hannu Mikkola and Gunnar Palm."

Pardon my ignorance but will there be a different listing for Lledo Vanguards or do they come under the Corgi Vanguards umbrella ?

Re: The Corgi Project - General Discussion Thread 8 years, 4 months ago #57

Platinum Boarder
how about simply Vanguards and sub-catagories of Lledo and Corgi...

or we could call the whole section Mattel...

Re: The Corgi Project - General Discussion Thread 8 years, 4 months ago #58

Platinum Boarder
No need to bring Mattel into this. That is not the name of the toy. Just the conglomerate that keeps them floating for our pleasure and their pocket books.

Re: The Corgi Project - General Discussion Thread 8 years, 4 months ago #59

Actually I thought this thread was started for those problems occurring with Toypedia with the listing of Corgi Toys and looks like Husky and Corgi Junior as well. To include the modern versions of Vanguards which was the off shoot from Lledo Days Gone By would only make the original Corgi identification on Toypedia far too cumbersome to manage and sort through the data base search.
What you should be taking on board is those who search on Google and the likes and find this site Toy Collector in their search fields. If a person is searching for Corgi then they expect to find Corgi. If a person is looking for Vanguards then they will find Lledo Vanguards mixed in with Corgi which was a complete different company altogether and not related to Corgi. So for the Corgi adopting of Vanguards then the title search field should be Corgi Vanguards and not Lledo.

Get the picture. Keep them separate as they belong to two different company's.

On this thread there have been lots of different images been posted, which could be seen as if the thread is drifting off the original subject. Toypedia is completely separate from Toy Collector forums.

Cheers so that is my two bits worth for tonight. bye.
