TOPIC: Corgi Bloodhound Missile

I hope the rebuild goes well with this missile but what puzzles me is the fact ''TOYJIM'' seems to have discovered a previously unrecorded version of the missile model and may turn out to be a very rare example of a limited production run for reasons we do not yet know!

Rollerman.

Toy Jim, can you put the dimensions of the red nose cone here please?
I have to 3D print one but i don't know the dimensions.
Thank you.

What made you choose blue for the missile. Was it not originally white?
Looking good and your red tip looks the part.

It is not blue, it is grey primer. I'm going to paint the rocket white.

My sketch of nose cone dimensions I lathe turned. Note that the body of the missile is designed for a snap on rubber cap, so a 3D printed stiffer one will need a larger hole to not break when pushed over the barb on the missile

Thank you for your answer. I just 3D printed the red nose cone. It is the correct lenght but it is not like your drawing.
I'm going to make the nose cone like the original but i think it is not easy.
But i have the time to try it.

The length was a guess on my part, I have never had an original nose cone, I just referred to photos...

Please tell me the length which you find suitable, I may experiment on the lathe, and make improvements on what I have made.

Re: Corgi Bloodhound Missile 3 months, 3 weeks ago #26

The height of the 3D printed nose cone is 41 mm and that is around 1,6 inches.
I'm going to try to make a nose cone that snap on.
I'm using thinkercad for that.

Platinum Boarder

I made another nose cone that is a little bigger at the bottom so it snaps on.
