Hi there can anybody tell me the best way to remove lettering on Corgi Fridge trailers without damaging plastic/paintwork. Tried usual nail varnish remover [acetone free] but it even reacts badly to side of trailer.

Any ideas would be appreciated

That is very difficult to do. The plastic reacts with most aggressive fluids.
Perhaps hot water (a bit hotter than lukewarm)?

If it is decal you want to remove then Hot water, as hot as your hands can handle and hotter if possible is the best way. Wet cloth, lay on side of truck over decals and check every couple minutes and replace with a hot cloth again. May take some time but I have removed decals from toys over 50 years old.
Tampos are different and I have used ordinary paint thinners which should not harm the plastic but may dull it.
