#163 Bristol 450. I had one as kid. It should have a 27 in white circle on it in the raised areas. I would like to add one to my collection again as I lost this one years and years ago. Yours looks really nice but for the missing decals, 3 in all.

Somehow my text disappeared twice.

A few years ago I restored such a model, for a change I gave it spun wheels and sprayed it in a different shade of green.

I had a pot of an original BMC car colour left and I thought it was worth a try to put it on the Bristol.

This so called Connaught green is so very dark green that it almost looks black.

But nevertheles I like it.

Best Regards - Wolter.

That is a nice pair Wolter! Is the dark green British Racing Green?

To dark for British Racing Green, he called it Connaught Green. The original green on the Bristol is called Grass Green and the hubs were Pea Green

Hi Jim and Theo,

Long time ago I bought this little pot of repair paint for BMC cars and it says Connaught green. It is like I wrote very very dark green almost black.

I do not know if one can call it british racing green.

In this paint shop there were a lot more original car colours of the same brand "Teoflux" at that time which I used for my code 3 Dinkies.

Best Regards - Wolter.

I restored a TF MG a while ago and found BRG comes in many shades but I think Connaught Green comes in even more shades.

This is the range of BRG...

Interesting to know about the variance on these colours especially the darker shade as it looks nearly black.
