Machine the war head but cast the rubber cap or head in a mould No idea what to use for material though that will work, feel and look like rubber. Maybe Gunnerjim will know.

I did a bit of experimenting with recreating a warhead. I snipped off the rubber point and used a paper hole puncher to create the round hole.

It worked out okay. I need rubber cones that are about 1/4 inch longer at the base to allow for the anvil to fit neatly...

Here are some of my attempts at fitting a rubber cone to the warhead. I need a slightly longer cone, but I will try again and cut a more precise cut On the cone...

Looking really good. What did you use for the red cone?

Thank you! I used a regular repro nose cone for the Corgi missile.

I can do better, hopefully...

Does it work or will it work after some more adjustment. Anyway the nose cone looks good.

Thanks guys. I have a few more cones coming, so I can experiment and do a better job. It does work but I hate dropping the missile too much! Lol.

Tom, wrap the missile body in a small towel or face cloth or similar. Protect your beautiful paint job and play with the missile at the same time.

Good idea! I used an original missile to test the warhead, as they were chipped already. The fins are a bit fragile and tend to bend but the wrapping idea will protect them!
