TOPIC: The many faces of the Corgi Mini - Mettoy Era

The early Corgi Morris Mini-Minor, Cooper S, and even a rare Austin 7 have had many chassis and wheel changes. The Cooper S had different body variants. Its a bit difficult to fake a cast variant, so be sure to ask for a photo of the front and the base, as these get to be changed around as well.

Hope this will help in your quest to collect the early Corgi Minis.

Good to look out for the variations in bonnet badges.

Morris with the circle and lines,  the Austin with the trapezoid.

These castings were often mixed.

Austin Badge.

Same model - different badges.

Thanks for that RV. Did you know, when I took apart about a dozen Corgi Mini's, for turning them into Mostest/Flower Power models, every upper body fitted just one specific baseplate! Bear in mind it is not just the outside, but you have to pay attention to the inside as well. For one, some bases have longer stands to keep the interior in place for one!
