I loved the show as a kid.  But don't really remember the car at all on the show.   Great job on the restoration/improvement!

This auction ended today. A bit rich for me though.
Absolutely mint. A nice return on the nine bob (45p) initially paid.

Stunning car and I remember coming home from school to watch the show. Did not show the car very often which is too bad.
Too rich for my blood too.

Great restoration on your Monkeemobile. All the photos are great. I like your choice of an all white roof. It looks more realistic to my eye.

The real Monkeemobile sold at Barret Jackson Auto Auctions for 360,000 USD. A little more than the one above.

Welcome to Planet Diecast from BC Canada. I see your in the USA, what do you collect and do you restore much? There are some nice people here so tell us a bit about yourself and join in the fun talk.

From the above before and after I would say you have a good idea of what your doing. Nice job.

I have a Canadian issued Hornby Dublo Train set upstairs I have had since the late 1950's and another newer one from the 1960's I think Revell or Stombecker, can't remember been put away for so long.

I was born at a very early age.  Grew up with Matchbox, Dinky and Corgi, graduating to Hot Wheels at age 6 in 1968.  My current fleet of diecast is relatively small,  used for scenery on my model train layout, and is occasionally infested with small giraffes.

I'm a keen follower of the various Hot Wheels and other diecast restoration videos on YouTube.

That's about it for now!

Thanks Mitch, I am NOT saying: 'That's all we wanted to know', because no doubt there is more. When time passes you will no doubt get the hang of the forum, and we get to know each other.
