TOPIC: Latest Dinky purchases

Here are my latest Dinky toy purchases that I will attempt to try my hand at restoring back to their original colors;

Dinky 25Y Jeep

This was listed as a 1948- 50 Dinky Series 25 Flat Truck Type 4 No.25c. Other than the missing headlight it is in good shape.

Nice finds, they survived well. I am sure you can restore them to fine looking cars

Some nice finds there. Must get me one of the 25y jeeps for my collection. I'm sure these will all come out looking great.

I resurrect this old thread from years ago. I have bought a few Dinky toys over the past few months and will ad them in here.
First or maybe not is the Dinky 139am Ford Fordor or Sedan as it says on the base and it is in original condition. It came to me with the rear tires missing. I have cut a pair of old original tires that match. I just slice one side and then install and glue together with super glue.

I will post others here as I have the time. Can't sit here for too long or my hip gives out and I don't want to take pain killers if I don't have to.

I look forwards to seeing them, hope you get your hip sorted out soon

Thanks Andy, appreciated. Most days it is not too bad unless I stand in one place for more than about 5 to 10 minutes. Makes my turn at making dinner harder. I have a stool I sit on so that makes it much easier. Sitting at my desk is the hard part and I try to get up and walk some every half hour or so. That helps. Today it snowed so I was expecting to have to shovel the walk way and my truck but it did not snow for very long so no shovelling. Tonight and tomorrow are the heavy snow days but I have a lady who comes by and shovels when it is deep. Tomorrow we get about 10" of snow so about 25cm and tonight we are supposed to get about 5 to 10 cm so she will have some shovelling to do. It is what it is I guess. Still have not heard from the bone specialist and I have been waiting for that phone call for about a month and a half now.

Well, Christmas has come and gone once again. This year I bought myself some Dinky Toys for my wife to give to me. She buys for me to give her but I always surprise her with something else she does not know about. This year a steering wheel cover for her new to her car and a frying pan she has been wanting, one of those Blue Granit ones for eggs. Anyway here are a couple of pictures of what I received this year.
Rover 75 Saloon for my Car Carrier, 63b Mercury Seaplane that needs pontoons and some straightening of the wings, another 157 Jaguar XK120, 110 Aston Martin needing paint and a driver, another 551 Trailer and a very played with 194 Bentley that pretty much needs everything. It even has the two little lights on the front still.
